    We watched The Reader last night and they actually reference the event where they are all locked in the burning church during the "death march."

  2. I had tears in my eyes reading this one. Especially the last time he saw his Mom and sister or when he realized he wanted his Father to die to make his life easier/that he was no different from the other guy he saw doing the same thing but thought he was evil for thinking that way.

    Walking towards the fire and seeing the Nazis throwing babies into the flames was gut wrenching.

    It was one of the most moving books I have ever read.
